Fed: Howard outlines social coalition plan

CANBERRA, Jan 12 AAP - Prime Minister John Howard today outlined his vision for a fairer
Australia, acknowledging not everyone was sharing in the good times flowing from the nation's
economic strength.

Mr Howard signalled social policy would take over from tax reform as the government's
key focus this year, with business expected to help shoulder the load in developing a
strong social coalition.
